Gold extraction plant for complex ores

The gold extraction plant in Kokpatas is a pioneering project in the field of sustainable processing of complex, sulphide ores. In collaboration with the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NGMK), we have developed and expanded a plant that revolutionizes the potential of gold-bearing ores by using state-of-the-art bio-oxidation technology. This technology sets new standards to increase processing efficiency and respond to the growing demands of the global gold market.

Commissioning: 1st expansion stage 2009, 2nd expansion stage 2011

Project details
  • Client: Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NGMK)
  • Location: Kokpatas, Uzbekistan
  • Type of contract/services: Overall project planning, delivery and commissioning
  • Scope of delivery: Hydrocyclone systems ContiClass®System, flotation units, thickening and counter-current washing systems, turbo compressors for the BIOX® process, chemical dosing systems for flotation, cooling tower systems and pump stations, complete automation and process control systems
  • Technical data: Capacity of 3.2 million tons of ore/year

Customer benefits

Greater efficiency: optimization of gold extraction from ores that are difficult to extract.

Innovative technology: Use of the patented BIOX® method, which works 100,000 times faster than conventional sulphur oxidation processes.

Sustainability: Reduction of contamination and improved use of resources.

Cost-effectiveness: Reduced operating costs thanks to the combined approach of biological and thermal oxidation.
