For the second time since 2016 Engineering Dobersek had the honor of being invited by the Office of the Federal President of Germany to accompany Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier during his state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Thanks to the numerous recommendations received by the company for the successfully completed projects in mining, mineral processing and metallurgical industries, Engineering Dobersek has a great number of long-standing business contacts in this resource-rich central Asian republic. Back in 1993 the company management realized the huge economic potential of the country. A branch, which was opened at that time in Tashkent, enables the company's employees to operate close to the customers and to respond quickly and effectively to the inquiries of the local operating enterprises and public contracting entities of Uzbekistan.
Being a member of the business delegation of the selected German companies, Dr.-Ing. Albin Dobersek, the director and co-founder of Engineering Dobersek, took the opportunity to present the achievements of his company, to exchange views with the participants of the trip, as well as to identify new entrepreneurial prospects. In the framework of the visit, which took place from May 27 to 29, Mr. A. Dobersek spoke, in particular, to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and to the Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Trade Shukhrat Vafaev. Meetings were also held with Odil Temirov, Chairman of the Board of Uzkimyosanoat, and the First Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Mr. Sodyq Safayev.
In a conversation with the Federal President Mr. Steinmeier Mr. Dobersek underlined the importance of his company for strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, which is brilliantly illustrated by a current example - construction of the metallurgical plant for roasting sorption tailings.
