ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH possesses many years`of experience in numerous international projects and state-of-the-art technologies in the field of flue gas desulphurisation (FGD). According to our customer´s request we provide all components from the actual flue gas desulphurisation plant to conveying and storing technology for the accumulating gypsum. Besides state-of-the-art technology in desulphurisation ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH offers corresponding gypsum dewatering plants.

Efficiently operating filter installations are necessary for power plants to meet the latest strict environmental protection regulations. ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH designs and supplies flue gas desulphurization plants and electrostatic filters for the reduction of ash emission either as new installations or - in the case of existing power plants - as reconstruction, equipment and supplementary installations. ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH also supplies complete silo facilities including loading station and offers economical and effective solutions for every application.

Flue gas desulphurisation processes can be realized as dry, additive and wet processes. The wet process is often preferred because of its high degree of separation rate of nearly 100 %. In the preferred wet process, acid and hazardous substances of the flue gas are deposited using a limestone containing suspension. The flue gases are mixed with this fine suspension in an absorber, cooled down and saturated with water steam. The sulphur dioxide reacts together with the calcium of the limestone to calcium sulphate (gypsum). The purified gas is directed by a chimney into the atmosphere.

Using our flue gas desulphurisation technology, all emission limits, which can be affected with this process, are kept or even considerably under-run. Limestone is especially usable, effective for the use in flue gas desulphurization, because of its natural origin and its further use. The generated gypsum is of high-purity, hygienically compatible and is increasingly used in the cement- and gypsum building materials industry.
